When Lightning (or Shyness) Strikes

Ellie and Lucy are friends. Both are five, and I love to hear some of their conversations. These were the hits from today.

Ellie: Lucy, did you know that people can be struck by lightning? If it hurts a lot, it can get you dead. If it doesn’t hurt too much, it won’t get you dead.

Lucy: My Grandpa Vern is dead.

Ellie: Did he get struck by lightning?!?!

Lucy: We had a dog named Ellie that died. My Grandma had a dog that got hit by a truck and died.

Ellie: My Aunt Jen had a cat that died. He got a bad kitty disease. She has two other cats. One is named Midnight and he is VERY shy.

Lucy: My Grandma had a cat that was VERY shy. It died.

Ellie: Just from being shy?!?!

    LOL! Precious is what that is. Lot of death too. RIP, kitties, dogs and Vern. Ellie does need her own reality show. Just throwing it out there.
